Why Printed Lenticular Sheets Cause Dizziness & Blurred Vision | 3D Blurry Image Causes & Solutions

2026-10-10 Admin

Many people feel dizzy and eye sore after watching 3D lenticular paintings and dynamic lenticular stickers for a short time, with flickering and ghost images. This is rarely caused by poor eyesight, but mostly by unqualified printing technology and unreasonable design parameters.

Lenticular sheets form 3D and dynamic effects through cylindrical lens imaging. Qualified products present stable and smooth pictures without visual discomfort. However, defective products output chaotic visual signals, making the eyes and brain adjust constantly and causing dizziness and fatigue quickly.

The primary cause of dizziness is the mismatch between lenticular pitch and printed patterns. Each lenticular sheet has a fixed pitch parameter. Inaccurate plate-making size will lead to pattern drift, ghost images and cross-pattern distortion, which is the main reason for mass defective products.

Printing misalignment and sheet deformation are also key factors. Unstable coil tension, improper drying temperature and register deviation will cause dislocation between patterns and lenses. The constantly shaking images force eye muscles to keep adjusting, resulting in eye swelling and dizziness.

Moiré interference produces dense flickering ripples and high-frequency visual noise, stimulating the visual nerve and causing glare fatigue. In addition, excessive parallax and too many layers in design exceed human eye tolerance, resulting in spatial disorder and false ghost images. Harsh frame transition of dynamic pictures will also aggravate vertigo.

Production defects further worsen visual experience. Uneven ink layers, warped sheets and poor fitting lead to inconsistent definition and focal length. Narrow viewing angle of low-quality products causes drastic picture changes with slight angle movement, bringing severe visual fatigue.

In short, stable imaging of high-quality lenticular products depends on accurate parameter matching and precise printing alignment. Fixing process and design defects can completely solve dizziness, flickering and ghost image problems of lenticular prints.
